Ballet Education in Slovenia from Preschool to the Second Bologna Cycle

The graduates of the Ballet Department of the Alma Mater Europaea – Dance Academy will present the research they have carried out during their studies. Their mentor is Associate Prof. Dr Svebor Sečak, the dean of Alma Mater Europaea – Dance Academy.
- Helena Krieger will present the characteristics of ballet education for preschool primary school grades 1 through 6. She will discuss ballet education at both of the Slovenian conservatories for music and ballet, as well as in music schools, where basic level ballet is taught.
- Martina Svetina will present the findings from the empirical part of her bachelor’s thesis, in which she compares the Slovenian system of ballet education with the Croatian and Hungarian systems.
- Claudia Sovre will present the role of a ballet teacher in the educational process, and
- Branka Popovici the role of a teacher in introductory ballet education.
- Manca Raušl Kodrič will present the legal basis and the process of changing educational programs.
Experts in attendance are invited to participate in the debate.
