In a world where any kind of fire is undesirable, are living characters transferred from "an English evening" into the situation of "a Slovenian lunch", as personally experienced by the young creative team. Like a living organism, the content moves through today’s spaces and times of (over)abundance, endless possibilities and choice. It searches for the forms of happiness in the pain of vacuous living. It understands the motif of fire from The Bald Soprano as some sort of "content" of a person, the will for life that stands as the opposite of the inwardly empty, but outwardly fully "decorated" characters. These characters search for happiness in things – a well-appointed house, money, leisure activities. They construct the image, but fear real fire. Even if there once had been something smouldering inside them, they have removed it, suppressed it, projected it elsewhere, so that it’s not in their way. They’ve reconciled with the manipulation of the capricious time, they’ve yield to it in the flood of possibilities and try to suppress the tiniest flame that hasn’t reconciled with the world, but continues to yearn.
